MovieStar @VaughnAsher
@FilthyBlueBird You’re an #Innie #Sweetheart :) My tongue licked all your #CuteLittleButtons.
#ForTheLoveOfFilth
Why is he so damn sexy? How will I ever get out from under Asher’s
thumb if I can’t stop thinking about his tongue on my buttons? #HottiesNeedToPlayFair

He’s gone. And what did I figure? That I’d be the girl to change him? That I’d be the girl he falls in love with? That I’d be the girl who could claim his heart, even though
countless others have tried and failed?
I’m an idiot.
For
years, my Dirty Heaven was Vaughn Asher. I lived and breathed for those
Saturday nights and ever since I met him in person, my fantasy faded away, one
disappointment at a time.
He’s a jerk.
He’s a sexual deviant—and even though I did like that date we had, a BDSM relationship
was never part of my perfect fantasy. I didn’t exactly dream of wedding bells and diapers, but it was a
monogamous partnership kind of dream. I would live in Denver and build my
career, flying out to see him in Hollywood every weekend for parties and fun.
Then he’d
fly back with me on Sunday nights to fuck me in ways that did not involve
kneeling at his feet or having bite-sized morsels placed on my tongue. He’d kiss me goodnight on my doorstep like the perfect Prince
Charming and fly home for a week of hard work and I’d do the same here in my own little corner of the world.
And
although I think he might be on board with the distance that I prefer in a
relationship, his unique sexual requests are not part of my long-term plan.
That is vacation sex. That is one-night-stand sex. That is not partnership sex.
So
it’s better this way. I’m perfectly happy like this. I’m going to find myself a new fantasy prince and give him all
my Dirty Heaven attention. Maybe a younger one this time. Someone more my age.
Someone who doesn’t
need to prove his sexual prowess with games.
“Earth
to Grace?”
I’m going to forget all about Vaughn Asher, wipe him right out
of my life.
“Hello?”
Which
is easier said than done when those stupid fucking Invisible Man 2
posters are all over this fucking airport.
“See
something you like up there? Because that’s my soon-to-be husband.”
“What?”
I look over at Kristi who is handing me a cup of coffee from the Starbucks
while stuffing her face with a blueberry muffin. “No!” I laugh.
“No, I was looking at the IM2 poster next to Johnny Blazen’s Broncos.”
“Oh,
yeah, that Vaughn Asher is a dream. I’d do him.” She chuckles as we drag our luggage onto the
moving sidewalk that will take us down to the end of the concourse to the gate.
The Blazens have hired a jet to shuttle Denver friends and family over to Vegas
and they keep all the small airlines on the very edge of the concourse, making
the walk a long one.

Hmmm. “He’s OK, I guess. Not quite my idea
of a dream though.

WTF Friday #5: Don’t Google That!

**WTF Friday is a weekly feature here at Black Heart, where we explore the stranger side of life.  It will not always be suitable for ages under 18, for work or for people lacking a sense of humor.  This is all in the name of entertainment, don’t take it too seriously.**

There are a great deal of things that we cannot live without. In a day where technology rules the world, many people can easily say they can’t live without their cellphones, iPads, or iPhones. I, for one, cannot live without Google. Google is the place where I go to find all the answers to life.
Don’t know the capital of Kazakhstan? Google it.
Don’t know how to change a tire? Google it.
Don’t know how to cook artichokes? Google it.
Google whatever you like and it will give you an answer. I can’t even tell you how many times a day I use Google. I am constantly typing something in that little box and discovering all sorts of secrets.
So, when someone tells me NOT to Google something, I immediately do it. It’s like telling a kid not to touch something. You know they are gonna touch it! So, you cannot tell me to not Google something and expect me to NOT do it. It’s just not possible.
But, there have plenty of times where I wish I had listened and not ran to do a Google search. There are so many images in this world that are better left unseen or can never be unseen. Once these horrific images enter your mind, they can never be erased. Here are a few things (in no particular order) that I wish I had never Googled. I’m warning your right now, DO NOT Google these things. It will haunt you for life!
Blue Waffle – This was the most recent term that I was asked not to Google. I thought pictures of actual BLUE WAFFLES would pop up but nooooooo. I was wrong. So, so, so wrong. My poor eyes. I wanted to cry after seeing some of those images.
Elephentatis – I knew better than to Google image search this term. I knew what it was, but my Curious George brain forced me to do it anyways. I still can’t believe I was stupid enough to Google search this.
Tub Girl – This just had me shaking my head. I mean, why? Why? Why? Why? And EWWWWWW!
Bed Bugs of any kind – If you want a good night’s sleep, never, ever, Google image search bed bugs. Just say no to any kind of bed bug. Looking that shit up will have you wanting to burn your whole bed including the sheets and pillows.

Trypophobia – Trypophobia is also known as repetitive pattern phobia, a fear of objects with clusters of small holes. Seems like a harmless term. Just don’t ever Google image that shit. It seems harmless at first and then all of a sudden you’re screaming, WTF! WTF! WTF!

2 Girls, 1 Cup – Someone told me to Google this shit YEARS ago and to this day I can’t get that video out of my head. I’m sure you have all heard of it and if you haven’t don’t look it up. Just don’t, please.

Now, there are plenty more Google searches that I’ve made in the past but just thinking about them makes me want to dunk myself in a tub filled with bleach. Shoot, I might even have some nightmares about the terms I mentioned. As much as I love Google, sometimes I wish Google would not show me some thing.

What Google searches have you regretted?
Tell us in the comments below.

Review: Strike by Jennifer Ryder

Series: Spark #3
Release Date: August 30, 2014
Publisher: Jennifer Ryder
Genre: New Adult Contemporary
Source: Copy provided for honest review
Rating: ★★★★

Fast. That’s how I like
life, especially my two great joys: bikes and women. I’m committed to
exclusively riding one, but not the other.

Until April.

A
sexy-arse freelance photographer who’s travelled the world, and doesn’t
do long walks on the beach or romantic candlelit dinners. She enjoys
running with the bulls and food spicy enough to make your hair fall out.
If that weren’t enough to get me hard, she rides a mean mother of a
motorcycle.

I’ve gotta have a taste of this wildcat.

~Spencer (Jones)

I
don’t do fast. Not anymore. I’ve got my career, my independence, and
since I fled Spain to come back home I promised myself that I wouldn’t
be put second—or third, for that matter—again.

Then I meet pretty boy Spencer.

He’s
smooth, oozing the most potent pheromones probably known to modern
science, and he’s making a move on me. One kiss was almost enough for my
promise to dissolve.

My head says no—my treacherous body screams
yes. I’m gonna make Spencer work for it. Make him fight for the chance
to have me, because I know that deep down I’m worth it.

~April MacIntyre

*Strike
is book three in the Spark series. It can be read as a stand-alone, but
continues on with characters from Spark and Spike.

*Recommended for 18+ as it contains very steamy sex with motocross boys *sigh*.

I’ll confess right up front that I did not read Spark or Spike before reading Strike.  I was assured I didn’t need to, and I agree…it wasn’t needed. However, I want to read them now, except I got a few little spoilers. My own fault, of course. But I would suggest starting at the beginning, don’t pull an Ali! 😉

After a very intriguing (I’d love the details of this Ms. Ryder *ahem*) prologue, we’re thrown right into the story of Spencer and April. It starts  like a typical boy meets girl story, but neither character is quite typical.

Spencer is a financial consulting, suit wearing, responsible and boring type by day.  It’s not the life he wants, it’s the life he’s been guilted into living.  His dreams lie in Motocross.  His passion is there, it’s the life he gets only on limited occasions and it’s the only dream he’s ever had.

He’s also a man whore. The Manwhore of Motocross.  Not even a one night stand type of guy..he’s more a fuck ’em and kick them out type.  No overnighters, no do-overs, no commitments.  Not ever.

April knows what it’s like to come in second.  To not be the prize at the end of the race.  Being set aside one too many times has made her live free but keep strong walls on her heart.  Problem is, her live life to the fullest attitude comes with a strong sexual appetite and that appetite wants Spencer as the main course.

She doesn’t relent easily though. April is the tease of all teasers but upfront about it and with good reason.  They way she holds Spencer off is adorable because you understand why she is doing it. It isn’t a form of torture, she isn’t giving him false promises.  The fun loving, independent, dare devil self is petrified to fall too fast and get burned.

There is a ton of cute banter and frisky push and pull from these two.  The entire book has a refreshing and fun feel, mixed with some super sexiness.  I loved that about it.  I also enjoyed that it wasn’t full of angst and drama, a great change of pace from the typical New Adult read.  I really enjoyed it and look forward to backtracking my ass to the beginning of the series!

Reveal: Love, In Spanish by Karina Halle

RELEASE DATE: NOVEMBER 11, 2014

“She sat beside me on the bus – and she changed my whole life.”

Successful, wealthy and absurdly handsome – Spanish ex-football player Mateo Casalles seemed like he had it all. A high-society wife, an adorable little girl, and flashy apartments in Madrid and Barcelona only sweetened the deal. But there was more to Mateo than met the eye – a life of uncertainty and regret that colored his black and white world.

That was until Vera Miles came into his life like a shooting star. Tattooed, wild and young, Vera seemed like Mateo’s polar opposite at first. But you can’t choose who you fall in love with and the two lost souls did everything they could to be together, all while suffering the grave consequences.

Now with Mateo divorced and living in Madrid with Vera, there is a whole new set of challenges and setbacks facing the couple and rocking the foundation of their star-crossed relationship.

Unfortunately for them, the brighter the star, the faster they burn.

“Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.”

I turn in my chair and give Vera a curious look. Yet another English saying that I don’t know. “I’m afraid I don’t understand.”

She gives me a soft but tired smile and sits down on the arm rest. I immediately wrap my arm around her waist and pull her down into my lap, where she comes to a rest with a giggle, her hair obscuring the impish smile on her face. No matter where she is, I can never stop touching her and now more than ever I need her to relax, to feel safe, to know I’m going to get us out of this.

“Explain,” I demand. “Or I will punish you with kisses.”

She raises her brow. “Followed by punishment by penis?”

I shrug. “That can be arranged. Now, tell me my Estrella.”

She sighs and buries her lips into my neck. I can’t help the small moan that escapes from me, nor my hardness building beneath her plump, round ass. I close my eyes and fight the urge to pick her up and take her to the bedroom, the only other way I know how to make her feel safe and sated, the only way I know how to escape.

“Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned,” she says against my throat, “is a saying. I don’t know where it’s from but it means, well, nothing is scarier than a pissed off bitch.” She pauses, sucking in her breath and I know she fears she’s said the wrong thing. “Sorry,” she quickly adds and I feel her body tense up beneath my fingers. “I didn’t mean that Isabel is a bitch.” She is still so skittish over her words, the way she blurts things out, but it’s one of the reasons why I love her. I cup the back of her head with my hand and let the softness of her hair sink over me. “I know you didn’t,” I assure her. “And, well, she is being a bitch.”

“Can you blame her though?” she asks, her voice rising a pitch and when she pulls away from me, her eyes are wet. It breaks my heart. I’m getting tired of my heart breaking and I know that this isn’t going to change anytime soon. Every day there is another weight on us, another crack appears.

“No,” I tell her honestly. “I cannot blame her.”

A silence lapses over us, heavy like a wool cloak. It does this sometimes. What we’ve done, it coats us.

Finally she clears her throat. “She’s going to hurt for a long time,” she says. “She’s going to be angry. This isn’t going away. I thought everything was behind us now, that she’d move on. You’ve been divorced for a year, if she’s still this mad a year out…”

“She is mad because I am going back to Atletico,” I tell her. “She is mad because of the paparazzi, the way they are hounding us again. She is mad because she feels she is being made to look like a fool. If I had just stayed with my head down, she wouldn’t be doing this.”

“But you can’t live your life in fear, Mateo,” she tells me.

I smile at her and brush her sunset hair from her face. “And neither can you.”

She settles back against my body, sinks, conforms, melds. She is second skin. She is a part of myself I can’t bear to separate from. I pray I never have to. I pray we can survive whatever is coming our way.

And I can feel it coming, that tension, that storm rolling in the weeks and days.

I pick her up in my arms and for all her pillowy curves, she weighs nothing more than a feather. I take her down the hall to the bedroom, throw her on the bed. She glows in the afternoon sun that streams in through our window and it isn’t long before we are both naked and I am climbing over her, pinning her arms above her head and drinking in her body like the most beautiful, decadent wine.

I will devour her until all of this is gone.

I will consume her until we are all that’s left.

I push inside her and let my hunger take over.

He’s thirty-eight.
I’m twenty-three.
He speaks Spanish.
I speak English.
He lives in Spain.
I live in Canada.
He dresses in thousand-dollar suits.
I’m covered in tattoos.
He’s married and has a five-year old daughter.
I’m single and can’t commit to anyone or anything. Until now. Because when they say you can’t choose who you fall in love with, boy ain’t that the f*#king truth.
***
To a restless dreamer like Vera Miles, it sounded like the experience of a lifetime. Instead of spending her summer interning for her astronomy major, she would fly to Spain where she’d spend a few weeks teaching conversational English to businessmen and women, all while enjoying free room and board at an isolated resort. But while Vera expected to get a tan, meet new people and stuff herself with wine and paella, she never expected to fall in love.
Mateo Casalles is unlike anyone Vera has ever known, let alone anyone she’s usually attracted to. While Vera is a pierced and tatted free spirit with a love for music and freedom, Mateo is a successful businessman from Madrid, all sharp suits and cocky Latino charm. Yet, as the weeks go on, the two grow increasingly close and their relationship changes from purely platonic to something…more.
Something that makes Vera feel alive for the first time.
Something that can never, ever be.
Or so she thinks

Review: Indecent (The Cage Sessions #1) by Skylar Cross

Series: The Cage Sessions #1
Release Date: May 31, 2014
Publisher:Skylar Cross
Genre: Erotica/ Serial
Source: Copy provided for honest review
Rating: ★★

Annika is a reporter for MiamiImproper.com, a struggling web magazine. Damien Cage is rock star frontman for the Platinum-selling band Eon Sphinx.

When
her boss sends Annika to interview Damien at his Biscayne Bay estate,
she can’t believe it. Now 22 and trying to find her path in life, Annika
is trying to let go of her strict religious upbringing. She yearns to
be sexually free, enjoying all that life has to offer.

Just
turned 30, Damien is surrounded by beautiful girls. He trains them in
the “Deviant Arts of Pleasure.” But none of them are on his level.
Disillusioned and jaded with the music industry, he has quit his band in
search of something more meaningful out of life.

When Annika and Damien meet, sparks fly. The steam between them is hotter than the Florida sunshine.

Damien
makes an offer to Annika. Neither realizes it yet, but it’s an offer
that will fill their lives with both deep meaning AND sizzling
passion… starting at one of Damien’s infamous Friday night parties
full of decadence and debauchery.

Indecent started off so great! The first chapter is ridiculous and humorous, I thought I would love Annika.  I mean seriously, anyone so damn horny that they’ll pull a dildo out while stuck in traffic…my kind of girl! 😉

That was really where the fun ended though.

Based on the synopsis, Damien and Annika meet and “sparks fly”.  Hmmm, no. They really didn’t.  For me, sparks flying means sexual tension so thick you can hardly breathe.  It means butterflies that you feel from your throat to your hooha.  I felt none of those things.  It was a normal, everyday, casual meeting between a chick and a supposedly hot guy.  Though no details given about him made him exceptionally panty melting.  In fact, he kind of seemed like a douche.  He’s got a pool full of girls for his entertainment and a PR assistant he isn’t all that nice to.

Add to it…he likes Nickleback. Sorry, deal breaker for me.  I get it…I know they have fans, you may be one and I apologize for saying this in advance but…I’ve never met a hot as sin Nickleback fan that I want to fuck on the spot.

Anywho…

I could get past the pool full of girls and even the not so polite behavior to his PR person, he’s a rock star after all. But there just wasn’t any real pull towards him for me.

Until the conversation got a little mysterious and then a little kinky.  He invites Annika to one of his exclusive parties, which she has some basic knowledge of and the “rule” that applies to all invited guests.  This is where Damien began to intrigue me a little.

But only just a little and right as I was beginning to wonder about him, the book is over.  It ends. Not with a cliffhanger so much as just an open ending.

It’s a serial, I didn’t go into expecting a whole lot of drama to ensue in just under 100 pages. I did expect a bit more though.  There were some outside details that maybe could have been cut out to leave room for a little more of an established plot between the two main characters.  Perhaps that would have left me feeling more like I could not wait for the next episode.  (Did anyone else just hear Dr. Dre?)

Then again, maybe not…since, you know, Nickleback.  This one maybe isn’t for me, even though Annika sure seems like a bundle of fun.

Violet Hayes’s life is a mess. Between her stalker, Preston, refusing to leave her alone, her parents’ case still being unsolved, and falling behind in school, she always feels on the verge of losing it. When some unexpected news comes her way, it’s the final straw and she ends up doing something that almost costs her life. Thankfully, she survives and makes a promise to herself to put her life back together and to try and figure out exactly how she feels about Luke Price, the one person that’s always there for her. But as a recovering alcoholic and gambler, Luke has his own struggles to overcome. He’s also fallen in love with Violet, but fears telling her the truth, that it will scare her away or worse, she won’t reciprocate the feeling. Plus, there never seems to be a right time to say it, either the case, Preston, or life getting in the way. Can the two of them ever get enough peace in their lives to conquer their fears and finally tell each other the truth about how they feel?

Violet and Luke teaser_Lips

It’s like he’s fighting to breathe, his solid chest rising and falling heavily with each breath he takes. “You have to start trusting me.” “I do trust you. Too much,” I whisper, shutting my eyes. “You could crush my heart if you wanted to.” The silence that follows is maddening. Did I just say that out loud? One… Two… Three… Time feels endless as I wait for what comes next. I hear him shift on the seat, feeling him scoot closer “Violet, open your eyes.” His breath dusts my cheeks. I swiftly shake my head, smashing my lips together. “I can’t.” But I find myself opening my eyes anyway and he’s so close, only inches away from me. “I would never ever hurt you,” he promises, his hand gently cupping the back of my neck, fingers spreading across my skin. His touch sends a shot of tingles across my flesh and causes me to shiver as he guides me toward his lips. But I’m already leaning in, an invisible current pulling me toward him, like two magnets about to collide. When we do crash into one another, it’s dangerously intoxicating, steals the air from my lungs, and sends my heart slamming in my chest. I’m already falling again to that place where I feel helpless yet safe. Emotions press their way to the surface, this time too strong to ignore. It hits me like lightning, an electric current surging through my body, overwhelming heat that both brings me alive and kills me at the same time. I think it’s then that I know what I’m feeling. The thing I’ve been trying to avoid for days now, and I’m both terrified out of my mind yet alarmingly at peace.
