Disney Book Tag

Disney Book Tag

Hey Black Hearts! We’ve got another book tag to share with you this week. We were tagged by Stephanie from No BS Book Blog to do the Disney Book Tag. Y’all know we love doing these tags and we absolutely could not miss out on doing the Disney Tag. So here we go!

1. The Little Mermaid – a character who is out of their element, a “fish out of water”

Ali: Rowe Stanton from This is Falling by Ginger Scott

Debbie: Dovey Beckham from Very Wicked Things by Ilsa Madden Mills.

Tiffany: Nila Weaver from The Indebted Series by Pepper Winters

2. Cinderella – a character who goes through a major transformation

Ali: Juliette from the Shatter Me series by Tahereh Mafi.

Debbie: MacKayla Lane and Dani O’ Malley from Karen Marie Moning’s Fever series.

Tiffany: Ana from Fifty Shades of Grey cause she went from virgin to sex goddess in 2.5 seconds!

3. Snow White – a book with an eclectic cast of characters

Ali: Taking on the Dead by Annie Walls, quite possibly the most interesting batch of characters I’ve ever read.

Debbie: Dark Lover by J.R. Ward. I wouldn’t describe the brothers as eclectic but they definitely made an impression on me when I first read Dark Lover.

Tiffany: I’m going to say all the characters from Ker Dukeys’s Broken series… all those characters blew my mind!

4. Sleeping Beauty – a book that put you to sleep

Ali: Outlander…

Debbie: Great Expectations by Charles Dickens. Worst book I had to read in high school.

Tiffany: Reading Debbie’s answer reminded me of The Pearl in HS, that always made me sleep.

5. The Lion King – a character who had something traumatic happen to them in childhood

Ali: Wow, this is hard because I’ve read so many that fit. Most recently though, the one that stands out is Tank by Carmen Jenner.

Debbie: Sky Davis from Hopeless by Colleen Hoover.

Tiffany: Archer Hale in Archer’s Voice by Mia Sheridan… I’m getting sad just thinking about it!

6. Beauty and the Beast – A beast of a book (a big book) that you were intimidated by, but found the story to be beautiful

Ali: Mistborn by Brandon Sanderson. He always writes large books, it’s Fantasy, but he’s also a professor in ‘real life’ so he’s super smart. I thought I might not grasp it all but it’s an amazing book and I’m glad I braved it.

Debbie: Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand. The paperback was over 1000 pages. It took me like, a year to read it.

Tiffany: The Sempre Series by JM Darhower, although the book isn’t entirely long the series is and I adore that series.

7. Aladdin – a character who gets their wish granted, for better or worse

Ali: Bang & Echo (The Black Lotus Series) by E.K. Blair

Debbie: Katniss Everdeen from the Hunger Games Trilogy.

Tiffany: Father Bell from Priest by Sierra Simone.

8. Mulan – a character who pretends to be someone or something they are not

Ali: Ruby from the Darkest Minds series by Alexandra Bracken – I highly recommend this series to any of you YA readers!

Debbie: Catherine ‘Cat’ Crawfield at the beginning of Halfway to the Grave (Night Huntress #1) by Jeaniene Frost.

Tiffany: Julz from the Gypsy Brothers by Lili St. Germain.

9. Toy Story – a book with characters you wish would come to life

Ali: *Ahem* All the dudes in the Outlaws series by Elle Kennedy.

Debbie: Every Kristen Ashley book.

Tiffany: This is the HARDEST one… it has to be the men of The Sweet Home series by Tillie Cole.

10. Disney Descendants – your favorite villain or morally ambiguous character

Ali: Javier Bernal (The Artist Trilogy and the Dirty Angels Trilogy by Karina Halle) – all day, every day. He’s got an unhealthy amount of evil in him but he still knows love and loyalty.

Debbie: Have to agree with Ali, Javier Bernal. His villainous ways is a definite turn on.

Tiffany: We are 3 for 3 here, hands down it is Javier Bernal, I have never contemplated knife play as much as I do now… (And I’m a sissy when it comes to pain!)

  • This is a fun tag!! Ali, I’ve been meaning to read The Darkest Minds series! Debbie, I would have chosen Mac for the character who goes through the biggest transformation too. She went from pink to fierce!! Tiffany, your answer to that same question made me laugh. 2.5 seconds is right! Hahaha!
