Twenty years weren’t enough for either of them to forget.

A chance encounter, a missed connection.

Two wayward stars that collided in a turbulent sky, at the right place, but at the wrong time in both of their lives.

What happens when they meet again? Do the same unforgettable sparks still fly?

Titan Jennings and Jesenia Van Buren may come from two different worlds but their hearts are open to second chances. No matter who or what may stand against them, love is what anchors their lives together.

Love may be infinite but time is not, Missed Connection is a novel about making the very best you can with what little you’ve got.

I’ve sat on this review for a long time. My feelings on the overall story have been pretty back and forth.

Let’s start at the beginning: I almost DNF’d. A couple times. While the storyline was intriguing, I had a really hard time following one of POV’s writing. And the character. The writing just wasn’t… my style I guess? And I’m not saying her writing is terrible, it just isn’t something I would be able to read an entire book of.

The female character is everything I don’t enjoy. Weak. And not in a broken way. Her relationship with her daughter was so toxic, in my opinion, I just wanted to flick her in the face. And her overly emotional conversations with her daughter, constantly, were cringe-worthy. I skimmed those.

But Ty. *Swoon* Ty was dreamy. He was the perfect alpha male. Kind, understanding, slightly broken. His son was perfection, but I will say he was a bit juvenile for his age as well.

I liked the storyline, I enjoyed their reconnection and their vulnerabilities, and how it all seemed to just… be. Perfectly be.

And, I cried my fucking face off at the end. Hard. I *knew* what was going to happen, I actually called it the second I read the prologue, but that didn’t matter. There are just some things that make you ugly cry your face off…. and the ending was one of those.

This book made me feel so many feels…but unfortunately, not all of them were great.

About K. Larsen

I am an avid reader, coffee drinker, and chocolate eater who loves writing.

If you love suspense and romance and a good read you’ve come to the right spot! I may mess with your head a bit in the process. Enjoy!

I have a weird addiction to goat cheese and chocolate martinis, not together though. I adore my dog. He is the most awesome snuggledoo in the history of dogs. Seriously. I hate dirty dishes. I like sarcasm and funny people. I should probably be running right now… because of the goat cheese….and stuff.

About Mara White

Mara White is a contemporary romance and erotica writer who laces forbidden love stories with hard issues, such as race, gender and inequality. She holds an Ivy League degree but has also worked in more strip clubs than even she can remember. She is not a former Mexican telenovela star contrary to what the tabloids might say, but she is a former ballerina and will always remain one in her heart. She lives in NYC with her husband and two children and yes, when she’s not writing you can find her on the playground.
