Baseball isn’t supposed to be a game of life and death…

The summer that Chase Stern entered my life, I was seventeen. The daughter of a legend, the Yankees were my family, their stadium my home, their dugout my workplace. My focus was on the game. Chase... he started out as a distraction. A distraction with sex appeal poured into every inch of his six foot frame. A distraction who played like a god and partied like a devil.

I tried to stay away. I couldn’t.

Then, the team started losing.
Women started dying.
And everything in my world broke apart

Ahhhhh.   If you know anything about me, you know at least these three things:  I’m obsessed with goats, spicy Cheetos, and Alessandra Torre.

Seriously.  That woman is a freaking phenomenal writer.  No one writes sex like she does, plus her suspenseful stories are completely engaging and unique.

So when I found out she was writing a sports romance, I about pissed myself with excitement (I’ve had two kids.  It happens.)

Moonshot is a book that spans YEARS…. it’s a journey.  The heroine Ty is 17 and a ball girl for the Yankees.  Her mom passed away when she was young, and so it’s just been her and her dad, the team, and the road.  Then comes Chase – a young, sexy, cocky and confident star and Ty is told to stay away.  Keep far, far away from him, or else.

Well, that doesn’t happen.  He’s an adult, a professional ball player, and she’s just a young woman… they shouldn’t talk.  They definitely shouldn’t become friends.  Or kiss.  Or sneak around and fall in love.  But that’s the thing about young love, there usually isn’t any sense to it, it’s wild and reckless and at times…devastating.

Things happen and they’re ripped apart.  Years and years pass, and they’ve both moved on.  Or so they think.

Throw in marriages, murders and secrets… and you’ve got quite the twisted web that each character is trying to navigate.  But when people’s lives are quite literally on the line, how can any decision be the right one?  If your love could destroy a team’s season and also be the reason behind an innocent death, how far would you push it?

This book can be described in many ways:  suspenseful, erotic, a second-chance romance, angsty, a thriller, forbidden, mysterious, funny…and hot.  I seriously do not have enough adjectives to describes all the feels you will feel when reading Moonshot.  It not only encompasses many genres, but it has amazing characters and a thrilling plot that sucks you up and spits you out at the end feeling completely wrecked and equally as satisfied.

Alessandra knocked this out of the park, and I really freaking hope she writes more sports romances.
