ARE YOU READY TO TAKE A WALK?

Alasdair Masters is in a rut. He just hit forty, has been nearly celibate for the past year, and his life has turned into a daily sequence of lonely patterns that revolve around avoiding human contact.

His tidy life is turned on its head when a hot young blonde at the gym that’s been pseudo-stalking him decides to rock his world. A very young blonde. Way, way too young for him. The problem is, he can’t seem to tell her no, and she just keeps coming back for more.

It doesn’t help that he’s ninety percent sure she’s a criminal, and still, he can’t seem to turn her down. What is a dull introvert to do when a chaotic cyclone that oozes sexuality comes twisting into his life?

At first, he thinks she’ll give him a heart attack, but after his twenty-year marriage ended a year ago, he’s been a little lost, and when she comes crashing into his life, he realizes that he’s never felt more alive.

Is a walk on the wild side just what he needs to get his life on track or a disaster in the making? Is it possible for someone that much younger to be just what he needs, or is she a fortune hunter, as everyone keeps telling him? Is it his hormones telling him that the mysterious younger woman is the one, or could it be more?

I don’t like book serials. I’m not a fan of them, and I try my best to avoid them. But when one of your favorite authors releases one, sometimes you just have to bow down and give in. So glad that I did because R.K. Lilley had me drunk in love with Alasdair Masters.

She was a wild thing, and I wasn’t sure I wanted to know what all that wildness might entail.

The premise of THE WILD SIDE is pretty simple. New turned forty year old author, and recently divorced, Alasdair “Dair” Masters meets twenty-four year old, blonde and neon loving hottie, Iris, at his gym. Dair, who has been somewhat of a recluse since his divorce, is a a little flustered when Iris – who looks young enough to be jailbait – shows interest in him. At first, Dair convinces himself that having an affair with such a young piece of ass would be wrong, but his sexually frustrated dick can’t help but come out and play. And boy does he like to play around!

R.K. Lilley has written some of my favorite sex scenes and I read quite a lot of erotica and romance. For a writer to standout like that – especially in a market that is so inundated with erotica – is a sign of how much I truly enjoy her work. Dair and Iris will definitely get  all your lady parts quivering. Even with her wild streak and oozing sex appeal, Dair was a lot more surprising than Iris. Told strictly from Dair’s POV, you read every single dirty thought that comes through his mind, and all the things that makes him conscious about his hot love affair. The dude definitely had a lot of locked-up sexual frustration, and he took it out on Iris and that shit was HOT. When you first meet him, you’d think Dair was Mr. Reserved, but the man has got some moves. There is one scene that will make you crave french toast and slather butter and cinnamon all over yourself.

She opened for me, ever part of her available and soft for me. Except her heart, I thought. That she had closed for me, if it had ever been open.

When it comes to R.K. Lilley’s romances, I’m like a month to a flame. This woman writes sex scenes like it was nobody’s business. While this might be a fast and sexy read, THE WILD SIDE had everything that I’ve come to expect from Lilley, sex, romance, and intrigue. While the sex will keep you enthralled, the mystery behind Iris will definitely keep you intrigued and make you want to read more. This book will definitely make great addition to the line-up of books that I’ve loved from this author, and I hope you all will take the walk on the wild side.

About R.K. Lilley

R.K. Lilley has been a writer since she can remember, but has held down some interesting jobs to pay the bills. For several years she was a first class flight attendant, and she always swore that she just had to write a book about it. Mixing her love of romance and all things BDSM, the Up In the Air Trilogy is her debut into the world of contempary romance and erotica. She is currently working on the final installment in the series.
