Enter a decadent sensual world where gorgeous alpha males are pleasure slaves committed to fulfilling a woman's every desire. At the elite Honey club, no boundary will be left untested, and one's darkest desires will become a sensual reality.

Olivier isn’t sure what he’s gotten himself into when he joins the Honey Club, only that a dark part of him craves the lifestyle offered by this secret, exclusive club.

When Amèlie invites Olivier to surrender, she pushes him to explore his deepest desires as a submissive. As they grow closer and find themselves falling harder than either of them anticipated, the truth about Olivier’s past could threaten the budding relationship they both long for.

Gripping and seductive, The Deep End is the first book in a sensational new series from bestselling author Kristen Ashley

I’m going to tell you a secret.   I totally signed up for an ARC of this book without even reading the blurb.  All I knew is that it was written by Kristen Ashley, and it was erotica.

That’s it.

And then right before I started to read it, I checked on Goodreads to see what was being said so far…and that’s when I learned that the premise behind The Deep End was a Domme female, and an alpha male who is her submissive.

I was so surprised, and maybe a wee bit hesitant.  I’ve read a handful of male sub books and I can only remember ONE where I was able to connect to the characters and enjoy the story line.  And really, typical romance glorifies male characters dominating in the bedroom…  and this is the opposite.

Reviews were mixed on GR, and I was even more hesitant.  But I jumped in… and I’m actually really glad I did.

Let me start by saying this…  if you’re going to read this book because you’re a huge KA fan and you love her writing style (quirky heroines, mega-alpha males, tons of silly shenanigans), and that’s the only reason… DON’T.   Her writing in this book is very, very different from her previous work.  If your expectations are to get a Rock Chick story, you will be so incredibly disappointed.  (Actually, if I didn’t know this book was by Kristen Ashley, I would have thought it was a new story from Ella Frank.  Have you read her Masters Among Monsters series?!  I swear the writing style is SO CLOSE to that.  It’s a bit different and can take time to really get the hang of the flow and connect to the character’s voice.  But once you do, you’re there and it’s magical.)

BUT, if your mind is open to a different writing style from her, and you’re into erotica and BDSM stories… DO IT!

Any hesitation I had about KA  portraying an alpha sub male was obliterated.  Trust me, a man can be a submissive and still be alpha.  He can still test his dom and try to have authority inside and outside the bedroom.  The book has a ton of sex… and I really, really liked it.  It was good BDSM, if that makes sense.  You can really tell when an author has either first hand experience or has truly researched that community when you read BDSM books, and KA’s scenes are phenomenally executed.

Overall, I think it was a very sexy story.  I really enjoyed the entire club she has her characters in, and I really liked a lot of the secondary cast.  I can see so much potential for following books, because the characters are interesting, mysterious, sexy and witty.

There were times I had trouble connecting to the characters as a couple, and there was some lingo used a lot that I didn’t love, but as an overall story I think it was good and I’m glad KA is dipping her toes into the erotica genre.   If you like BDSM and hot sex…  definitely give it a  try.

About Kristen Ashley

Kristen Ashley was born in Gary, Indiana, USA. She nearly killed her mother and herself making it into the world, seeing as she had the umbilical cord wrapped around her neck (already attempting to accessorise and she hadn’t taken her first breath!).

Kristen grew up in Brownsburg, Indiana but has lived in Denver, Colorado and the West Country of England. Thus she has been blessed to have friends and family around the globe. Her posse is loopy (to say the least) but loopy is good when you want to write.

Kristen was raised in a house with a large and multi-generational family. They lived on a very small farm in a small town in the heartland and existed amongst the strains of Glenn Miller, The Everly Brothers, REO Speedwagon and Whitesnake (and the wardrobes that matched).

Needless to say, growing up in a house full of music, clothes and love was a good way to grow up.

And as she keeps growing up, it keeps getting better.

In a family of cold-hearted black sheep,
I, Axel Rutherford, am the blackest.
My father has hated me since the day I was born. The feeling was mutual. In the shady underworld that was my legacy, Cleo McCarthy became my light. She was beautiful, passionate, and my whole world. So naturally my father had to destroy us. First he sent me away. Next he claimed Cleo as his own. But now I've returned, and nothing will stop me from taking back everything that is rightfully mine.

He was the love of my life - when my life was still my own.
We were young enough to believe we would last forever, Axel and I. But neither of us realized how cruel life - and our families - could be. Now I'm trapped in a gilded cage: desired by Axel, who must never know the full truth, and controlled by his father, who would sooner see me dead than free. And I wouldn't even care, except that it's no longer only my life at stake.

Black Sheep may be the second installment in Cox’s Dark Desires series, but it is so loosely related to the first book (I, Porn Star), that you do not have to read that title before jumping right into this one.

Jumping in is exactly what I suggest you do! Black Sheep mixes second chance romance, a dirty talking hero, and scandalous deceptions with an easy expertise.

Axel is the estranged son of a mob boss. His father is desperate to bring him back to the fold, by any means. Including tempting him with the love of his life, Cleo, who left Axel’s bed in the worst sort of betrayal.  Axel has plans of his own, however, and Cleo and his father sit in the center of them. You get a bit of a Romeo and Juliet – star crossed lovers – feel with the added danger of mobster lifestyles.

This story moves fairly quickly, but is full of twisty secrets. Cleo hates Axel for reasons he doesn’t know. Axel hates Cleo for reasons she doesn’t know. Neither has the full story, they’ve been fed lies and half truths for so many years. The hatred, though, only feeds the sexual tension that still sizzles between them, which leads to some steamy sex scenes. Even though the story is a bit rushed at times, you still feel the depth of the secrets and the hurt of the betrayals. I found it very easy to like both Axel and Cleo, right from the start.  Seriously, Axel’s dirty talk was an A+, for me!

The ending could have been fleshed out a little more to my liking, but overall Cox vastly improved in style and emotion from I, Porn Star to Black Sheep. Which has me eager for round three, Wicked S.O.B., due out this August.

My name is Quinn Blackwood:

By day, I'm a billionaire CEO. Rich. Entitled.By night, I'm the exclusive porn star only known as Q.Why? Because I love women. If I believed in an almighty being, I'd thank him for creating them. They're by far his most perfect creation… especially when I'm fucking one of them.

Oh, did I mention I'm an asshole? Fuck yeah. According to my shrink, I'm one twisted motherfucker. And that's just the way I like it. Until she walks into my life…

My name is Elyse Gilbert, nicknamed ‘Lucky' because according to my dad, I'm the unluckiest person alive, and I'll die the same way I came into the world: naked, screaming, and dirt poor.

Yeah, my life is a twisted, seething mess. But that life changed the day I met HIM.He made me forget the cameras. He made me forget I was doing this for the money. He made me forget my shame. He made me forget everything. I was consumed by him. Only him.

But now my past has caught up with me

Let me start by saying the synopsis for Porn Star is a bit misleading, this is not a book full of some dude filming porn after porn after porn. A fact that I am most thankful for.

Not that I have a problem with a porn star making porns, I mean…if that’s your job, obviously it would be well covered. But Q isn’t your regular porn star. In fact, the title of this book is a bit misleading as well.  He does make porn, but it is not his career and it is with great purpose.  It’s also the catalyst for him meeting Lucky.

Quinn and Lucky are both extremely damaged people. Quinn more so, but they each carry more than enough baggage to fill a cargo train.  Cox did well at revealing their past dramas, just a little at a time. I rather enjoyed the element of suspense, there is quite a lot of it in Porn Star. Quinn is set on a path of ultimate revenge, dead set on tearing down all his enemies in one fail swoop – but it takes time to learn the how and the why.  On the flip side, Lucky is on the run and protecting a very important secret.

I would keep you, Lucky. If I didn’t need to do this. If my life wasn’t a fucked up wasteland, I would keep you. Make you mine forever.

That, along with the fragile trust and hint of love that grows between these characters, very much kept me invested in this story.

However, when the true conflict hit the pages and the subsequent resolution, the story lost it’s steam. The resolutions to all issues were far, far too easy. In my opinion. I needed it to be more difficult, most especially when rebuilding the lack of trust. I felt like issues were swept under the rug.  Furthermore, I’m not quite sure how or why Lucky was such an important part of Quinn’s revenge. He comments about how important it is, but in the end, it just seemed needless.

The thing is – I rather enjoyed Cox’s writing style. I loved the voice she gave to both main characters, Quinn especially.  So, even though the story is flawed and the plot line didn’t totally add to me, I’d absolutely pick up another of titles.  Oh, and…the sex is pretty hot.

A sugar daddy website doesn’t seem a sound basis for an A1 life plan, but I’m a small town girl with big dreams, and there’s this one advert, this one crazy advert I can’t stop thinking about…

Two hot guys seeking their Little Miss Right.
Someone who can entertain them, amuse them, fit in with their corporate schedule.
And sex. They want sex.
Lots of sex.
Bonus, right? One major dose of epic win.

Of course, guys like Carl and Rick have their conditions. One being that they come together, or not at all.
Hell, I can live with that.

And there are no skeletons in their designer closet, none that I can find.
Just two hot sugar daddies, with particular tastes, nothing to worry about.

Until Carl and Rick spill the big one, the one that sends the girls running. A whole string of them before me, running to the hills without so much as a backward glance.

Maybe I should run, too. Thanks but no thanks, see you around, guys, nice knowing you.
But I’m already in way too deep for that.

Warning – as with every other Jade West book, reader discretion is highly advised. This novel contains vivid depictions of MMF / MM relationships, and Jade’s characters, as always, have very filthy mouths. Mature readers only, please.

I have a confession. I’m a dirty, dirty bird. Like – I have this weird obsession with polyamory.  Menage relationships. Love stories that are so far from typical. I dig that shit. A lot. I’m pretty sure JA Huss’ 321 ruined me for all romances, because that book was H-O-T.

So, while I was perusing goodreads for my next erotic read, I found Sugar Daddies. That cover?  Helloooo!  So hot.  And the blurb?  Yuuup, instant one-click.

The story follows Rick and Carl (hate those names, sorry, but I do) who are in a relationship with each other. They’re bi, and like women, but they LOVE each other.  Seriously, love each other.  Their love is freaking adorable and I believed every ounce of their attraction and protectiveness.  Rick is covered in tattoos, piercings and just overall a super happy, free-spirited dude.  Carl is a bit on the scary side – business orientated, no filter when he talks, very blunt, very sexy.  (Oh, and his peen is like the size of Florida.  Scary big. *wiggles eyebrows.*)  They’re a perfect match.

Then comes Katie. She’s a horse enthusiast who works shit jobs and all she wants out of life is to have enough money to own land and work with horses and kids.  That’s it.  Nothing fancy, just happy content-ness with her furry friends.  And that’s why she signs up with the Sugar Daddy website – to find herself a rich man to shower her in dolla bills and make her dreams come true.

But she comes across Rick and Carl and thinks, I totally want to do two dudes at once.  SCORE!

So they meet. They jive. They hook up.

They hook up even more.

And more.

And sooooo much more.

And here is where my star rating comes in. Because, weirdly enough, I loved the plot. A lot. The characters are so well written. I can see them perfectly, their personalities, their looks, everything.  I loved the story, the drama, the love that develops…all of it.

But I hated the sex.

Like, a lot. And for the sex in an erotica book to be meh is a bit of a let down. The dirty talk was a bit revolting, to be perfectly honest, and incredibly unrealistic. To me. It was kind of gross and my nose would curl up a bit and I ended up just sliding the pages until the muff bumping was done and it went back to the actual story.

How lame am I?

So, anyway, I loved the story.  I just kind of despised the parts where they were naked.  But I’m glad I kept going because the plot was bomb and I really loved the ending.  It made my heart all fluttery and shit.

Torbit is worried. After witnessing a slew of dazed roaming men and women buried in their phones, he’s beginning to think that this might be the start of a terrifying zombie film. Upon further investigation, however, Torbit realizes that they are all playing a hot new mobile game, Pokebutt Go.

Curious to see what all of the fuss is about, Torbit plugs in and sets out to capture a nearby Pokebutt within his own balls, but when he arrives at the location of this rare beast, Torbit suddenly realizes that he might have bitten off more than he can chew.

Now face-to-face with a handsome yellow bigfoot named Peebaroo, who sports a zig-zag tail, Torbit realizes that the only way to catch this majestic creature… is within the depths of his own butt.

This erotic tale is 4,000 words of sizzling human on gay Pokebutt action, including anal, blowjobs, rough sex, cream pies, and digital monster love.

Yes.  The title is correct.  This is a review of Chuck Tingle‘s newest release, “Pokebutt Go: Pounded By ‘Em All.”

I am a fan of Mr. Tingle.

There…I said it.  I ain’t ashamed of it either.  Chuck Tingle is THE MAN.  And you have to give him credit, the second there is anything new going on or being talked about, within minutes I swear he releases a book about it.  Chuck Tingle is in “the know” of what’s what in society.

And he’s actually a really good writer.  Shocking, I know.. but he really is.  He does have talent, no matter how weird or insane the actually book is, the writing is witty and, well, entertaining.  And what else do you want out of a book other than entertainment?

Okay, so Pokebutt Go.  It’s obviously based on the huge craze of Pokémon Go.  The book starts out with the main character having NO effing clue what’s going on.  He leaves work and people are everywhere, the streets and even parking garages are packed with people staring at their phones and totally clueless to what’s going on in the world around them.  People are going crazy, and this guy is at first annoyed, but then that morphs into curiosity.

“It’s a way of life!” the man counters.  “There’s a Buttmander somewhere in this park and I need to get pounded by it!”
“Get pounded by it?” I question.
“In the butt!” the man yells.

So Torbit, the main character, finally decides he’s going to start this interesting butt-pounding adventure.  Because, if everyone else is doing it, why not him?   And wouldn’t you know, the very first creature he encounters?  It’s love at first fucking Pokebutt sight!  *swoon!*

“I am absolutely drunk with lust, willing to do anything and everything that this handsome bigfoot would like.”

If that doesn’t make your heart swoon, I bet this will.

“Fuck me,” I demand.  “Fuck me like the bad little Pokebutt trainer that I am!”  My body can barely contain his girth, but I do my best at trying to allow his enormous rod a peaceful passage into the depths of my rectum, with mixed results.

I’m legit dying.  Torbit and Peebaroo’s love story continues.  They have lots of dirty, dirty love making and their love continues to grow with each penetration.  I mean minute.

“I’m gonna be honest, I know that you’re the first Peebaroo I’ve been pounded by, but there’s something about you that makes me feel like this is more than just a game.”
The yellow bigfoot nods.  “I feel it, too.”

*Que the violin.  The fireworks.  The ‘awwwws’.*

Come on, if a man can’t find love with a giant, yellow Bigfoot…WHO CAN?

And, at the end – the fabulous and amazing Chuck Tingle leaves us with this line that is so fucking deep, you’ll read it five times and wonder at this amazement.

“I guess that’s what happens when you’re on the search for pounds, whether its in the realm of some game or in your daily life.  The world is full of surprises, hidden gems around every corner just waiting for someone excited enough to come and discover them.”

Let that sink in a minute.  Deep. As. Fuck.

No one can know about our love—and hiding only makes it hotter.

Dallas Sykes has a reputation. He is known for his parties, his money, and the countless women on his arm. Yet the Dallas I know is a different man—darker, smarter, and unbearably sexy. Just one look from him can leave me breathless; the anticipation of his touch can make me lose control.

Inextricably bound by our past, we keep each other’s secrets. And while there are people who have the power to hurt us, it’s the truth that threatens us most of all.

Dallas can be mine only behind closed doors, our passion as searing as it is forbidden. Yet nothing in this world has ever felt so desperately, deliciously right.

You know how the music industry has a sophomore album slump? I’m starting to believe book series do as well. At least for the series I’ve been reading. I really, really enjoyed the first book in the S.I.N. series, Dirtiest Secret. It took a new take on a hero and I was absolutely intrigued by Dallas’ problems and by the dark and secret past he and his sister Jane shared.

I gotta say though, Hottest Mess let me down. Or, more accurately, Jane let me down.

I don’t recall having any real ill feelings towards Jane in the first book but she drove me batshit crazy in this one. Her emotions and sentiments were all over the place. One minute saying Dallas could do nothing to lose her but a few pages later she’s walking out on him. This was not an isolated event, she walks out on him a lot. Of course, never when he’s promising her orgasms.  Which was another problem I had with her. She says the relationship is not all about sex, but really – in this book – it so totally was. It’s sex and more sex and more sex, then some fighting, her walking away, him following, more sex, some more sex, more fighting, rinse and repeat.

I couldn’t deal with Jane and it drove me nuts that Dallas would appease her.

HOWEVER, I’m still completely invested in the other, non-romance, aspect of this series. It hardly progressed in Hottest Mess, but the ending was very promising. I still loved the first book and I will absolutely read the third. Though, my fingers are crossed for less orgasms and more grown up talking.

Lennox used to live in a paradise on earth with his best friend Jamie, in a place where visitors came and went, allowing their desires to run free. But everything changes when a deadly attack forces them to take up with Connor Mackenzie’s band of Outlaws. Lennox knows Jamie is hung up on someone else, but he’s always believed he’s the man for her—and won’t let her go without a fight.

Even though Jamie is well aware that Lennox is one hot specimen of a man, she refuses to let sex ruin the most important relationship in her life. But when the object of her interest spurns her, she indulges in a little pleasure-filled revenge with her very magnetic, very willing best friend. One thrilling night with Lennox is enough to awaken Jamie’s unexpected desires for him. And now that she’s had a taste, she’s not sure she can ever give him up...

Claimed, the first book in the Outlaws series, was a favorite read of mine last year. Which, of course, had me excited for this follow up.

However…I was underwhelmed.

I was so eager for Lennox and Jamie’s story. They intrigued me in book one but we didn’t really know that much about them. While Kennedy allows us to learn them quite well in Addicted, the rest of the world suffered for it, in my opinion.

Addicted starts off with a group from Connor’s clan heading off to a friend’s settlement to help train them to fight against a rising bandit threat.  It’s a settlement that was touched on in Claimed and again, I was eager to know more about this group of people. And again, I got what I wished for there. But too much happened within the walls of this little ‘town’ and too much happened within the bed of Lennox and Jamie.  There was not enough to progress the series as a whole for me. Really, that’s about all I have to say about the plot of this story.  They trained some people, Lennox and Jamie figure out they love each other and they fuck. A lot.

Addicted lacked the action and excitement I got from Claimed. It felt more like a set up, a bridge, between book one and book three. There is some excitement at the end of the book and some content that makes it all more emotional than I anticipated. It wasn’t enough though. Honestly, other than the little surprise Male/Male action I got towards the start of the book, I was a tad bored. I AM SO BUMMED BY THAT!

I’m not giving up on the series, I’m actually highly anticipating Reese and Rylan’s story because that man lights me up each time he drops on to the page. I am hoping for the same level of energy and steam that I got from Claimed though.
